Ebi Ten Japanese Fast Food (388 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604-689-9938) is a really popular place for Japanese food prepared in a flash. It’s located across the street from the Vancouver Main Library branch downtown, close to the Westin Grand Hotel as well as BC Place Stadium and GM Place Stadium.

Fast food Japanese California roll, tempura, and teriyaki (around $8.00)

Kitto Japanese Restaurant (833 Granville Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604-687-6622) is a very popular spot for authentic Japanese cuisine, at lunch or dinner. It is located on the Granville Street strip downtown, very close to the Commodore Ballroom and the Orpheum Theatre (home of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra). I enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Roll (pictured below, $4.25), as well as the Unagi Don (also pictured below, $11.95) which is BBQ Eel served on rice with a garnish of Japanese pickle and seaweed. Vana Vietnamese Cuisine is a fast food vendor at the Tinseltown mall (view map, address: 88 W Pender, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604-806-0799), on the level below the movie theatres (which, incidentally have discounted movies on Tuesdays, for $8.75 a ticket). 

The food court is cash only, but some great deals can be had here, including the Vietnamese crepes with salad (pictured below, around $5.50). There is also an excellent Korean/Chinese fusion full-service sit-down restaurant in the mall called Wild Ginger (click here for review).
