Fujiya Japanese Foods (web site, 912 Clark Drive, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604.251.3711) is a Japanese grocery store at Clark and Venables in Vancouver that has a wide selection of fresh, already-prepared sushi and bento boxes at reasonable prices. Items such as those pictured below are in the $3 to 6 range, and if you go 1 hour before closing the items start going on discount. There are a few small tables at the store, but most people go for take-out.
Fujiya also has locations in Richmond (#113-3086 St. Edwards Drive, Richmond, BC, Canada, phone: 604.270.3715), downtown Vancouver (112-1050 W. Pender Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604.608.1050), and Victoria (624 Shelbourne Street, Victoria, BC, Canada, phone: 250-598-3711).
Sushi Town (5935 East Hastings, Burnaby, BC, Canada, phone 604-294-6155) is quite frankly my favorite a-la-carte sushi restaurant in the Greater Vancouver area. And that is saying quite a bit, since I’ve tried a lot of them.
Below is pictured the Sushi and Sashimi Combo (around $7.75), as well as the Mangodise Roll (around $6.95). I am always impressed by the freshness, quality, and large size of the sashimi and sushi pieces, at such reasonable prices. This restaurant is definitely worth driving a little ways to get there.

Taste of India Restaurant is a fast food restaurant located in the Tinseltown Food Court at International Village mall (view map, address: 88 W Pender, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604-806-0799) on the edge of downtown Vancouver.
The mall is really close to GM Place Stadium and BC Place Stadium, as well as the Stadium skytrain station, and it’s a convenient place to stop for a bite to eat before the Canucks hockey game or BC Lions Football.
The food court at Tinseltown mall is on the level below the movie theatres. Taste of India Restaurant provides a healthy and delicious alternative to the other fast food outlets such as Taco Time and Vana Vietnamese.
At Taste of India they make their Naan bread fresh to order – I was really surprised: it only takes about a minute for them to roll the dough and bake it, and it tasted awesome! Pictured below are two different orders of Combo 2, which includes two items of your choice from their menu with rice and Naan bread for $6.25. Some vegetarian items are available.
